I have spent three decades building companies, collecting wine, and cooking in my mother’s kitchen. A childhood between New Jersey and Geneva, then years exploring California with Tammy, taught me to see a place closely, not just visit it.
The idea never came from a business plan. It came from years of Tammy and me driving out to Napa, Sonoma, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, finding a small restaurant or a family-run winery nobody had told us about, and wishing someone had written it down. I got tired of every list recommending the same five restaurants and ten wineries, from people who had clearly never eaten there. Eat Sip Go started as our own honest list, and grew into a place other people could use.
It is not a directory, and it is not a popularity contest. Every recommendation here has been chosen with you in mind. That standard runs through every blog post and guide on this site, real experience first, generic advice never. My goal is simple: make Eat Sip Go the place you trust before you book a table, pour a glass, or plan a trip through California.
